Train system between major Moscow airports

If you ever came to Russia before you must know that at first it is very difficult to find your way around. Here I will talk about the quick and cheap way to get from major Moscow airports.

If you came to Sheremetevo airport you can take a shuttle train to the city. Don’t take taxi, they would charge you at least 3 time of what this ride actually cost. If nobody is meeting you should go outside of airport, to the right and you would see dozen of ads directing to your first Russian train. You can buy a ticket for just 250 rubles (8 USD) and get to downtown in 40 minutes at the train station Belorusskaya. By the way from there you can take a train to St Petersburg that departs almost every hour.

Same story with airport Domodedovo. There is a shuttle train departing at the left side of the airport. It will take you little bit longer and trains are not that good as in Sheremetevo-Belorusskiy line, but it will allow you to save at very least 50 bucks from if you would take a taxi. Train will come to the downtown area of Moscow.

Shuttle train from airport Vnukovo is the fastest one. It only take about 35 minutes to get to the city. But it is has the oldest trains, so you wouldn’t find TV’s and restaurant there. It also comes to the downtown area, to Vitebski train station Moscow city. I forgot to mention that all location are very close to metro stations, so if you take a train from any airport you will be right by metro station when you get out.
